Prague Castle’s Riding Hall will present the largest Cartier Jewels exhibition during this summer (July 9th – October 17th, 2010)

To ensure a qualitative experience, a limited number of visitors will be admitted by waves, every 15 minutes, during exhibition opening hours. Open daily (10 am - 6 pm)

Discounted tickets for disabled persons and their caregivers can be purchased at all sales points and at the exhibition venue upon presentation of a valid registration card (ZTP/P).
Discounted tickets for students up to 26 years of age can be purchased at the exhibition venue upon presentation of a valid student ID card.

The Prague Castle is proud to announce Cartier at Prague Castle – The Power of Style” exhibition, which will display exceptionaljewels, timepieces, and luxury objects created by the Maison Cartier and will open in the Riding Hall on July 9th, 2010.

The Riding Hall of the Prague Castle thus joins the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the British Museum of London, and other famous exhibition venues in Paris (Le Petit Palais) , Berlin (Vitra Design Museum), Moscow (the Kremlin Museums), Tokyo (The National Museum) or most recently Beijing (The Palace Museum in the heart of the Forbidden City) , and becomes the next place where the visitors from all over the world will be able to discover 160 years of Cartier’s creations.

“The Cartier exhibitions curated by these prestigious cultural institutions have been very successful. I am extremely honored of the collaboration with the Prague Castle which will give the citizens of the Czech Republic, as well as the visitors of the largest castle estate in the world, the opportunity to admire more than 350 objects reflecting the evolution of Cartier style and know-how” says Pierre Rainero, Cartier Heritage Director.

The exhibition will allow the visitors to get an incredible insight of the royal jeweler’s treasures through a fascinating and inspiring journey.  It will present the influences that lead to the creation of the works of art, along with original archives and biographical stories about their prestigious owners.

Staging it in our premises will add mystic and enchantment to the entire experience” says Ivo Velíšek, Director of the Prague Castle Administration.

Cartier at Prague Castle – The Power of Style will be organized by the Prague Castle in collaboration with the event promoter Serge Grimaux and the curator Eva Eisler working together with the designer Rony Plesl.
