You can look forward to the legendary Sir John Eliot Gardiner with the London-based Monteverdi Choir a English Baroque Soloists, who are in charge of the Festival prelude to the Festival. The opening concert has been entrusted to the Prague Philharmonia under its new chief conductor, Jakub Hrůša.
Two other living legends to appear at the 2010 Festival are André Previn and Pierre Boulez (with Ensemble intercontemporain). Amongst the other renowned musicians returning to the Festival are Anne-Sophie Mutter, Murray Perahia (together with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields), Anoushka Shankar, and Garrick Ohlsson. Look forvard also to Herbert Blomstedt and Matthias Goerne with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Zoltán Kocsis and Hungarian National Philharmonic, Cristian Mandeal and Radu Lupu, Emanuel Ax, Olga Borodina, Ewa Kupiec, Dianne Reeves and many others.
