Švandovo Theatre in Smichov is a modern European culture centre of performing arts. Its repertory is constituted mainly by productions of established artistic troupe and also byother productions, which are dividing to the periodic programme cycles addicted to various genres and events of performing arts. To the reception of the Švandovo Theatre as culture centre conduces also fact, that it is regularly providing space and rear to new rising independent groups and projects in the frame of Alternative Culture cycle. Švandovo Theatre is also offering chance to meet celebrities of Czech, European and world art in the Stage talks cycle. Wide range of concerts of classical music and many other genres of music is taking place on the stages of the Švandovo Theatre.From many others projects of Švandovo we could notice Art Wall, projects for children and youth, educating programmes for public, literary reading or international projects in co-operation with other theatres.
